A Long Week

It has been a long time since I've posted, and a lot has been going on! Hannah, my daughter, did a marvelous job on the baby shower for Cortney, my daughter-in-law. It has also been a busy week getting the plans finalized for Concordia's employee dinner tonight at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee.

I've been working on two shawls from Debbie Macomber's Friendship Shawls booklet. I'm knitting "A Hug to Keep" and "A Wisp of Warmth." Both are truly beautiful. "Hug" is for Cortney and "Wisp" is for by boss' daughter, Hannah. She will, I hope, wear it at her wedding on July 24.

Showers and more Showers

The last couple days have been blessed by rain showers. We need the rain badly - I can hear the farmers rejoicing! Today looks like rain as well. By the end of the week, though, will be another shower -- this time a baby shower! My daughter-in-law, Cortney, will be blessed with tons more baby stuff and should be ready for Noah's arrival. Ryan will be here as well. It will be good to see both of them again. Quick and easy baby items to knit or crochet are on the list to do. This will be grandson #3.

The Day of Banquets

Today, on the Lord's Day, is a day of banquets. The first is Holy Communion at church, the second is a retirement brunch for a friend from work, and the third is the church bowling league's end of the season banquet tonight. There are feasts galore!

It's my First Day!

It's the first day of my new blog! I'm hoping to share some news and some photos. I love to knit and will hopefully add pics of my finished projects along the way as well.

It's my First Day!

It's the first day of my new blog! I'm hoping to share some news and some photos. I love to knit and will hopefully add pics of my finished projects along the way as well. Why Gi Gi? That's what my grandson, Samuel, calls me. I don't exactly know why - but I've gotten used to him calling me that!
